Harry Hoang Nguyen joins Vanguard as Founding Member & Board Director

Vanguard is proud to welcome Harry Hoang Nguyen as a Founding Member and Board Director. As a development economist and business strategist, Harry brings a wealth of expertise in economic policy, strategic advisory, and business leadership, further strengthening Vanguard’s mission to cultivate Vietnam’s next generation of bold and forward-thinking leaders.
Harry studied political economy in London and Sydney and has built a diverse career across government, business, and academia. Upon graduation, he co-founded Broaden Economics, the first pluralist research program formerly based at the Vietnam Institute of Economic and Policy Research in Hanoi. Through this initiative, he has collaborated with key think tanks and development agencies, including the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Group, Fulbright School of Public Policy, the World Bank, and UNDP.
Beyond policy and research, Harry plays an active role in Vietnam’s business landscape. He sits on the board of several pioneering companies, including:
Rose Villa – Vietnam’s first private members' club, fostering an exclusive community of influential leaders.
Orient Group – A leading manufacturer of plastic packaging solutions and sportswear.
With his deep understanding of economic development, strategic growth, and high-level policymaking, Harry is a key addition to Vanguard’s leadership. His unique ability to bridge policy, business, and academia will be invaluable in shaping the network’s direction and influence.
